Accurate 1:1 Scale Cockpit Reproduction
Several years ago, FSC acquired three fully functional cockpits, sourced from real B737, B747, and A320 aircraft. These cockpits are kept at our headquarters, where FSC engineers use them to develop products that are as realistic as possible. Having access to the original components allows us to closely assess the response and feel of the controls, enabling us to refine and create simulation products that closely replicate the authentic handling of real-world controls.
We provide a full spectrum of simulation solutions, ranging from generic flight simulators to advanced FTD (Flight Training Devices).
Alongside feedback from pilots and flight instructors, FSC also benefits from the insights of consumers, many of whom are new to flight simulation.
Durability and ability to resist the intensive use
In a context where quality is a decisive factor, FSC is committed to ensuring that every simulator product is made with the finest materials available on the market. Our goal is to provide products that are not only aesthetically true to the originals but also functional and durable over the long term.
We design our products with a focus on two key aspects: mechanical strength, to minimize maintenance needs, and the ability to withstand intensive use by end users.
Durability is one of our top priorities: our simulators are designed to handle extreme usage conditions while maintaining high performance over time. To ensure quality, we carry out rigorous checks at every stage of production, making sure that final tests meet the high standards we aim to offer our customers.
Advanced Control Loading: Realistic Force Simulation
The advanced control loading technology on the rudder pedals ensures a precise simulation of the forces on the controls, which vary based on:
• Aircraft speed.
• Wing load.
• G-forces.
• Trim setting.
A key feature is the variable rudder trim, which accurately replicates scenarios such as flying with an engine failure (“one engine out”), providing a fully immersive and realistic experience without compromise.
Cutting-edge visual for unparalleled immersion
In our simulators we provide cutting-edge PC systems, equipped with the most up-to-date and high-performance components available on the market; they are built respecting the customer's needs based on the software chosen in the initial development phase of the project with the constant support of our technical team.
The simulators are equipped with a visual system COTS PC-based, with multi-channel front projection, a frame rate of 60 Hz, and a horizontal field of view of 220° and vertical of 40°.
The angular resolution is around 550 microsteradian/pixel ensuring exceptional visual quality and precise details essential for complex operations such as approach and landing in difficult conditions.
The visual system uses an optical blending technique to optimize dark management, a crucial aspect to ensure a realistic visual experience, especially during night flight operations.
Audio and communication
The audio and communication system is designed to offer an advanced and realistic simulation:
- Simulation of COM and NAV radios with a simplified frequency matching algorithm.
- Intercom and Public Address for simulated internal communications.
- Instructor role: Simulated radio communication with the aircraft via the Instructor Station.
- Each FTD seat is equipped with a complete headset (microphone, earphones, attachment system, connection cable and final jack).
- Cockpit speakers: Controlled by the audio system to reproduce the sounds indicated in the flight manual.
Interior cockpit lighting
The simulators are equipped with an internal lighting system that accurately replicates every light point present in the original aircraft. The lighting is powered by the AC generator, precisely emulating the aircraft's electrical system operation.
The cockpit lights are designed to reduce eye strain and provide maximum comfort for the crew. The lighting is finely calibrated to avoid excessive contrasts, ensuring clear and relaxing visibility, which promotes an optimal working environment for pilots.
Lighting management in night flight
During night flights, cockpit lighting plays a crucial role in instrument visibility and pilot concentration. The simulators offer detailed adjustment options for every phase of the night flight, including reducing the instrument light intensity, managing the floodlights, and progressively adjusting the light to prevent glare.
Emergency lights
The emergency lighting system is fully simulated to create realistic scenarios, providing comprehensive training in critical situations. In the event of an electrical failure, the emergency lights activate, faithfully replicating the behavior of the real aircraft, allowing training in total blackout scenarios or in low-visibility conditions.
Circuit Breakers: faithful reproduction and functionality
The simulators are equipped with fully functional circuit breakers, replicated with a high level of fidelity. The number of breakers varies depending on the type of aircraft being simulated:
• From 150 to 200 for Liner simulators.
Each circuit breaker panel is replicated accurately, with the breakers positioned as in the real aircraft, ensuring complete consistency with the operational experience. The circuit breakers used are original and can be activated or deactivated from the Instructor Station. This feature allows for the simulation of failures and enables advanced training sessions for ground maintenance technicians.
Advanced flight model
The Nonlinear 6 DoF (Degree of Freedom) flight model offers full configurability across several key aspects:
- Flight control system
- Aerodynamics
- Propulsion
- Landing gear configuration
Key Features:
- Rotation Effects: Simulates Coriolis and centrifugal accelerations.
- Oblate Spheroid Shape: Geodetic coordinates are based on the WGS84 system.
- Realistic Atmosphere: Modeled according to the International Standard Atmosphere (ISA 1976).
- Dryden Turbulence Model: Provides accurate turbulence simulation.
- NASA Glenn Icing Model: Simulates the effects of ice formation.
FSC Support: Uncompromising Reliability
A distinguishing feature of FSC is its support service, designed to ensure uninterrupted operational continuity:
- Technical support available via email, phone, and remote sessions.
- Fast shipping of essential components within 24 hours to minimize downtime.
This type of support is particularly crucial for clients with students or flight enthusiast simulators that are always operational. The goal is to prevent disruptions during scheduled sessions and minimize downtime. Thanks to this approach, FSC stands out as a leader in technical assistance and operational support.
